As the title states, any appearances applied to parts change the part hot pink (no matter what appearance is applied.)
The only way to change it back it so undo the appearance application action.

A sample design attached but when I export and load the project from the f3d file the issue resolves itself.
However, if you open the properties of the pink object you can see that a yellow appearance should be applied, but it shows as pink.
Solved: Somehow an appearance override was causing the issue. Right click body > Remove appearance override
I had to create a new appearance as using one of the older (possibly from a deleted part) appearances turned the part pink in error.
