cannot assign diameter or radius dimension to notched circle.

trying to add a diameter dimension to a circle with notches and fusion does not recognize the edge of the circle to input dimension.

Can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?

I hope I understand the feature in question.  Do not use Automatic Dimensions, choose Diameter dimension from menu list.  By the way, a Radius dimension is preferrable in this instance.

no, the diameter of the big circle. your example shows a square and are measuring the radius of the slot.

I want to dimension the diameter of the OD of the wheel and neither diameter or radius recognize the edge of the wheel.

You do the same technique to get the diameter dimension on the OD for the notched circular component.

that exactly what i am tying to do, but the software does not let me choose the OD of the wheel to dimension it, in my drawing.

do i need to re-install the software to get it to work?
