Can we change the Zoom, Pan & Orbit shortcuts to Maya's?

 I am a beginner to Fusion 360. I was using Maya. Somehow I found that Fusion is a great option for hard-surface modeling. So, I downloaded a trial to learn. Now I'm wondering that how we can change the navigation preferences of Fusion to Maya. Cuz right now there are only 4 options there. I've heard that we can but not sure how. It would be really helpful if there are more options like Maya or 3Ds Max etc. Can someone please do something about it?

Hi @DEBOnation,

Currently Fusion has preferences that enable you to change the navigation to match Alias, Inventor and Solidworks.

I've looked in the IdeaStation and I've seen this request is listed at Future Consideration.  I've reached out to our UX team to get a sense of the timing.

Thanks

Colin

Any news on this. Surely its not that hard to remap and recreate camera functionality like Maya's. Last post was 3 years ago!

5 years to add few shortcuts, you really care autodesk as usual, it's pathetic, it's the only thing preventing me from using it, this is why i use moi3d, but i would prefer to use fusion but as usual.

Here is the solution since is autodesk is too busy to add

  1. #IfWinActive, ahk_exe Fusion360.exe
  2.
  3. ; zoom
  4. Alt & RButton:: Send, {LShift Down} & {MButton Down}
  5. Alt & RButton Up:: Send, {LShift Up} & {MButton Up}
  6. ; pan
  7. Alt & MButton:: Send, {LCtrl Down} & {MButton Down}
  8. Alt & MButton Up:: Send, {LCtrl Up} & {MButton Up}
  9. ; rotate
  10. Alt & LButton:: Send, {MButton Down}
  11. Alt & LButton Up:: Send, {MButton Up}
  12.
  13.
  14. #IfWinActive

Are you kidding me, 5 years and you're too busy to add 15 line of code that are already available anyway ?

You should be ashamed.

Its unbelievable that Fusion, an Autodesk product, still doesnt have shared navigation with Max or Maya, also Autodesk products and likely much more widely used. It also still doesnt have any REAL way to change all the hotkeys. Its been requested here and on other forums 1000 times. Thanks for this script, it works flawlessly and allows me to hop between Maya, Fusion, and Unreal Engine 5 with speed and ease ❤️ ❤️ ❤️

I have been working in 3D since 2003. and always when I started to learn new 3d programs. I walked out of them in a rage, and there was not the same control as I was used to. and every time I can't change it.

It is very strange. why such an important and fundamental thing as camera control. developers hide from customization by the user. At the same time, they give a bunch of settings that, as a rule, no one asks for.

20 years have passed. but nothing changes. it's just nonsense.

I want controls like in 3d max. but he is not. Is it that hard to change shift to alt?
