Can't select missing bodies

Hello,

after few changes in timeline, i try to rebuild the model but i  can't reselect bodies in Body>Comp operation. This specific operation has really long timeline after (in new component), so I really need to fix it.

Thanks

Hi @p.melentowicz,

I've actually run into this multiple times, when the body reference is missing, the ability to reselect the body for a Body->Component is not available. Can you share the model with me so I can show this to development.

Realistically to fix this, we need to fix the missing body issue so that the reference is found again (if possible, it's hard to say without looking at the body). Otherwise, that command and corresponding downstream features will need to be created.

Thanks,

I can't share this model here, but I sent you a PM with a link. Hope there will be any solution... 😉

Thanks

I am having a very similair use in a model I'm woring on. Just an Edit Feature window with "missing bodies" and no way to select a new body (from that same or different parents, I tried a couple of things). It almost seems like a UI issue where the cross next to the Missing bodies message does not appear so I can't reselect other bodies. Please understand this is not a model I can share but does anybody have a workaround/fix for this?

I too would appreciate a workaround.  Otherwise it is a waste of a lot of time. Including drawings which loose their references etc.

Yup, me, too.  The  issue is still here.

Any plans on fixing it?

This is still an issue. Been running into it after adding some more features to a body early on, half the timeline breaks and the UI refuses to let me reselect the "missing" body on a copy+move operation.

Edit: I somehow managed to fix it by creating the features with a [new body] operation and then a separate [join] so the original body is the target and not the tool as would've been with the feature extrusions
