Can't save part due to license expiration

I'm having an identical issue someone who already posted on the forum. I spent a couple hours designing a part only to find that my license had expired. I have renewed my educational license, but I can't save the part or get the system to reflect my renewed license. The other user (see post here: https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/can-t-save-progress-due-to-application-license-exp...) said they left it for a few hours and suspected that a wifi connection failure had caused it to fix itself. I have tried several times to restart my wifi, but to no avail. Any suggestions on how to proceed?

Can you do a File>Export to your local drive?

You might do some screen captures of sketches/feature settings and start over.

In my experience the second time through goes much faster than the original attempt.

I recommend saving every 5 minutes or so.  I have followed this recommendation since I had to start over on a design 30 years ago and it has worked well for me.

Thanks for the advice. In hindsight, I should have checked before I began. I ended up remaking the part and indeed, it did go much faster!
