Can't save file "... source asset Simulation Model_2..."

When saving I get :

Error: The source asset Simulation Model_2 in document Fingerboard Version Without fan frets working Radius & fret position 006012019 v0 has not referenced the target asset FusionAssetName in document Fingerboard Version Without fan frets working Radius & fret position 006012019 v0!

I have tried saving a new copy of the file but the problem persists and it no longer gives me the save as option.

If I export the file to a fusion file on the file system i get an error :  initializing document manifest xml stream failed  ... .f3d could not be loaded

I have plenty of drive space (about 180 GB free.)

I have tried clearing out all of the file from the w.login/f directory (backed up elsewhere) but it doesn't seem to change anything.

We have this logged into our system as ID #50798 for Development to look into.
Do you have any additional info of how you created the design & got it into this state?  i.e. did you start with an imported model, or is it one created from scratch?

I am having the same error

It is on an assembly of components I made..  Broke all links to the parent parts and I cannot save now.

I'm having the same problem. I haven't imported anything to the model or something. Actually I started from scratch, but suddenly this error appeared.

Do you have any solution yet?

Having exactly the same problem here, on a simple basic design. Actually I'm having 3 other sessions with exactly the same functions used (just the basic sketch being a little different), and they save normally.

Hi @maikolD6F2S,

Unfortunately we don't have a solution to this yet, since we haven't been able to provide Development with consistently reproducible steps to get into the corrupted state.
However, your case is interesting since (I'm assuming from the image) that you:
1) Just created the design from scratch
2) Haven't saved it yet (before seeing the message)

3) Haven't used the Simulation (or Generative Design) workspace at all.  You're saving a CAM setup in the Manufacturing workspace
Are these assumptions correct?  If so I can try to reproduce it from that scenario.  I wonder what you did differently in the problematic design that the other three didn't have...such as sketch projections?

Mine was a new assembly. Imported STEP file from our customer, then started adding fixturing from my own library (machine table, clamps, etc).  I had not saved it yet when I dove right into programming the part, and I had not used simulation or generative design.  I typically break links to my fixturing so I can make minor changes if needed so all links were broken to the shared components.  I finally tried to save and the message popped up and would not let me save.  I was able to post my program out, but never could get a saved file or backup. I decided to just restart fusion and when I did all of the work I did was lost with the exception of the original imported step file which was saved under my file name with no manufacturing or assembly data.   It is worth noting that when I closed and reopened fusion there was an update available as soon as it came back online that was not showing before restarting.  I normally dont close fusion, it stays open for days at a time as I just lock my windows workstation at the end of the day so its faster to pick up where I left off in the morning. I am not sure if something happened where the program needed to be updated, but I have not had the problem replicate itself again since updating fusion to the latest version (which again I did not know was available until after restarting fusion).

Hey Hugh !

1) Actually, I didn't create the designs from scratch, someone else did all 4 of them (they were only basic sketches), and I opened them on my account and then created the 3D objects from the slightly modified sketches.

2) Not 100% sure about that, I might have been able to save the now corrupted one before it got problematic.

3) Yes I've started from the already made (very simple) sketches, added a few features to them before extruding 3D objects from them, actually 1 component that I multiplied using the rectangular pattern function, in order to prepare some machining mach3 files for my small CNC to cut the multiple parts on pieces of Valchromat sheets.
