Can't Open Fusion360 because .dll file is missing

Hello, I've had this issue multiple times now. Basically, I can't launch Fusion 360 because a .dll file is missing. Usually I'll just reinstall Fusion 360 but it is starting to get frustrating. Anyone know why the DLL file keeps getting deleted? It gets deleted almost every other week.

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm sorry you are experiencing this issue. Could you share what dll is missing? and please share your log file. Here is how to collect it.

If you have this error, here's a solution

Error when launching fusion missing qt5core_ad_5.dll, qt5gui_ad_5.dll, and Nsbase10.dll

On top of that, the Anti Virus program makes this error. Here is how to configure Anti Virus program

When reinstalling, it would be good.

1. Disable AV program.

2. Clean uninstall (please do a clean uninstallation)

3. Fusion 360 install (Install it with Right-Click on the *.exe as "Run as Administrator")

4. Configure AV program

5. Fusion launch (Right-click on the Fusion 360 launch icon and "Run as Administrator")

I look forward to your reply

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

Hi @Anonymous,

Thank you for sharing your log file.

I doesn't seem that you can reach out this link. Are you on a specific network?

https://js.prd.fusionapi.autodesk.com/hds/fusion360.json

Are you able to access this link in the web browser?  In the meantime, I will discuss with our installation team.

I look forward to your reply

Many thanks,

Ahreum.

I found the solution. I did a clean uninstall of fusion 360 with this link ( https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/learn-explore/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How-t... ) and then i reinstalled fusion 360. If your antivirus programm ask you to block some of their files do not block them. Allow them. Thats why i had this problem, i blocked them. Hope this help you. Sorry about my english, its not my first language. Adiós 👋 .

I did the same. Not exactly a "fix" though. Complete wipe and clean install
is a last ditch effort when no fix exists. Also completely wipes your
configuration settings which is loads of fun.
