can't open files from my computer

I was trying to insert SVG from my local machine, but when I click "open files from computer" nothing happens.

I have then tried to open another project (.f3d extension file) using "file" -> "open" -> "open files from computer" and the same result - file browser window is not opening. On some occasions Fusion 360 crashes and closes without any error messages. 

I have been using Fusion360 for more than 2 years but never encountered this issue.

P.S. PC restart and program reinstall did not resolve the problem.

There was a bug where Fusion does this if the last directory\folder you saved to is no longer available. There is a workaround\fix in this post or do a clean uninstall using the tool here.
