Dear Fusion Forum,

I have a really complicated project with a sprawling folder structure. I am trying to find a setting of related parts in that structure and I am finding it very difficult to do so. I can use the search function to find a couple of the files whose names I can find in other designs as parts or whose names I remember, but I know all of the files are in the same folder, so I would love a way to open the folder that a design is in once I find it. Like perhaps in the search results, I right click on the file I've found and click "Open location", the way Windows and Mac OS do it. That way I could find one file and use it to get to the rest.

If a feature like this already exists please let me know!

Thanks!

@philipphertel In the data panel, if you go to any of your files and expand it, you will see History, uses, used in etc. This will give you an idea of all the parent/child association to that design. You can open each of he parent/child from right here. IS this what you were looking for?

No, I would really like to be able to jump to the folder that holds the file. Sometimes I want to see a bunch of related designs in a folder rather than go one by one to just the ones I can find.

Hello,

Thanks for sharing the feedback.

I would like to inform that we have already considered your request. This is done by providing "Show in location" option on the file in the search result. It will navigate you to the exact location where the file is saved. This functionality will be available with this year's July release of Fusion. You may update your fusion to latest version.

Thanks,

Nidhi

This request is already resolved as the functionality is available in July release and further releases.

Thanks,

Nidhi
