Can't install add ins or plug ins on Fusion 360 Mac.

I recently installed GF Gear Generator for Fusion 360 on my mac and copy the file to the add-in folder using this method https://knowledge.autodesk.com/support/fusion-360/troubleshooting/caas/sfdcarticles/sfdcarticles/How... but the GF Gear Generator folder doesn't show any .py script. Is there a mistake on my part or is it something to do with Fusion itself? (Note: Fusion 360 was downloaded from the website)

Pretty sure that's a compiled add in and you'll need to run the installer to install.

You have to double-click on the pkg file to run the installer.
