Can't create drawing

I've been trying to create a drawing of my design. When I try to open a new drawing, the screen changes to the drawing workspace, the part dosen't appear and after about 1 second it brings me back to the design workspace. I've tried this with a few designs and all of them have done the same thing. I've been able to create drawings before and I'm trying to figure out what changed to make me unable to create drawings.

Hi @joshkaplin ,

Thanks for posting! Can you try:

  1. Close Fusion
  2. Launch Task Manager- are there any Fusion or AcCoreConsole processes still running (or not responding)?  If so, End process
  3. Reboot machine
  4. Re-launch Fusion
  5. Try to open a drawing

If you still cannot create a drawing do the following:

  1. Turn on hidden folders on Windows – Follow the Microsoft support link to turn on hidden files and folder - https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/14201/windows-show-hidden-files
  2. Close Fusion 360 if you have it running
  3. Go to C:\ProgramData\Autodesk
  4. Delete folder “FusDoc”
  5. Launch Fusion 360 again and access the drawings environment

If this does not work, can you please attach your diagnostic log files

Thanks,

Dear Ms. Paganucci!

I actually happen to have a very similar problem at the moment, except the error occured when I tried to create a drawing from a design for the very first time and it never worked before. Everything seems to work perfectly fine, except when I try to create the drawing, it seems like it opens the page for a second or two and then entirely dissapears. I already tried your first two solutions (but couldn't find the folder FusDoc) nothing worked, I even reinstalled the program. May I upload my diagnostic log files for a more detailed troubleshooting?

Thank you very much in advance

Best regards

This is an ancient thread (in CAD years) - it probably would have been better to start a new thread with a reference link to this thread.
But in any case, can you File>Export your *.f3d file to your local drive and then Attach it here to a Reply?
