Can not select face to shell a body.

Can not select face to shell a body.

Hi, I'm new in fusion 360 and doing some  easy tutorials, but I'm stuck I can't  select face  after I select shell command.
tried with a simple  cylinder result was the same.  

If I remember correct this morning was an update for F360 .

Hi,

You have created a surface body (orange)  without thickness .
If you are creating a solid (blue) instead, you can also use the shell tool.

THANKS!  that was fast answer!  it works now.  I was learning from and old video and couldn't understand what I'm doing wrong.

Hi,

You can also thicken the surface body.
However, this thickening is done perpendicular to the surface elements, which leads to an unfavorable shape of the upper part, which then has to be reworked.
A hollowing is better in this case.
