C-Pattern 1 Error - I can't seem to create a 3D circular pattern

Hi, I'm a student and still learning how to use Fusion 360. I wanted to make a spiky cylinder (image attached to explain what I mean), but whenever I go to create a circular pattern of the spikes using the cylinder as the axis, it greets me with "C-Pattern 1 Error". Could somebody help me out? Thanks so much, any help is much appreciated!

Works here, how many would you like.... I went for 8 rows, 

Not well constructed - revolve one tooth, pattern it in a row of 15 along the cylinder, with the floor of the tooth inside the cylinder.  Blue lines white dots should keep you awake at night.
