BUGS Editing Base Features.

First bug is when you right click a base feature in the timeline it shows Edit Sketch not edit base feature!

Second bug which is a far bigger problem is when you enter direct mode within Edit Base feature, any bodies in the base feature become invisible. If you move the body it becomes visible again. Think @TrippyLighting brought this up a couple of months ago. I've attached a sample file.

Third Bug:

When you edit a base feature, in the solid tab you can select a hole or other geometry  and press the delete key. Fusion 360 will remove the selected feature and auto-repair the geometry.

When changing into the surface tab we should be able to delete an individual surface. But that does not work!

It also auto-repairs.

Just noticed the file I attached does not show the problem. Seems like save then open fixes the problem in this file, doesn't fix it in files I save to the cloud though.

Here's a screencast using part4cad that shows the problem

Thanks for posting this.

Bugs logged. Any idea when this started?

I think 2 - 3 month ago. I use a program that generates mould tool bases so use this quite often on the imported STP files. I remember @TrippyLighting making a post about the invisible bodies somewhere at the time.

Thanks Mark

@Phil.E Hard to say when the visibility problem started. I've tagged you in a thread that I started on the EE Slack Channel.

The bug I posted in this thread is at least a year old and I believe was introduced when the naming menu entries for the base feature were upgraded form the previous state to Base Feature Solid  and Base Feature Surface.

Edit: I remember the set of models I was working on when I came across this behavior.

It's almost 2 years ago when I came across this behavior!
