Bug when using a parameter + math with an Extrude operator.

Hello!

I'm currently having an issue while using a function with the Extrude operator. Using a parameter (for example, size) by itself will work fine as the extrude distance. However, adding anything else (for example, (-size/2)/5) will work initially, but further editing the Extrude operator will remove the function.

I've attached a video. I had already finished recording the video before realizing Screencast was an option but I can create one if the video file doesn't suffice.

It is very hard to follow the video, one it is blurry and two the values are very small.  Please attach the model.  If you do not know how to attach your Fusion 360 model follow these easy steps. Open the model in Fusion 360, select the File menu, then Export and save as a F3D or F3Z file to your hard drive. Then use the Attachments section of a forum post to attach it.

Gotcha! Apologies, Hi-DPI screen. I should've scaled the window down.

I've attached the f3d file but I believe it's primarily in the procedure rather than the specific file.

I've produced a screencast on a device with a smaller screen to prevent weird scaling issues.

To ensure it wasn't a fluke, I've reinstalled Fusion 360 (just wiped my hard drive for unrelated reasons so it's definitely a clean install) and created a new file to reproduce the issue in.

The issue shown is: the depth of cut for the extrusion should be half the size parameter. However, after editing the extrude feature again, the function is removed and remains a static value.

Edit: It would appear I cannot attach Screencasts to replies. The screencast can be found here: https://knowledge.autodesk.com/community/screencast/ebb2211c-0f71-4de0-bd4a-1fc1e995c019

Hi,

I cannot confirm the error.
The depth is always size/8

That's very strange. I've reproduced the error across 2 different systems with fresh installs running both Windows 10 and Windows 11.

I believe a more general description of the error I'm having is that that "Edit Feature" on an Extrude operator removes the formula used for extrusion depth and replaces it with the value it had last calculated.

I've attached the file I used for showing the bug in my Screencast (posted in a previous reply) as well.

Woah! That's very bizarre. Thank you for the Screencast!

I've run through all the settings in hopes of finding something but I haven't had any luck.

The fx symbol appears briefly when reopening Edit Feature but immediately defaults to a static number.

Really hoping someone can provide insight into this issue as I rely on Fusion 360 for work. Worried that editing existing models will end up breaking them!
