[BUG] Unable to edit sketch, acting like ctrl key is stuck.

I have an issue that pops up pretty frequently, though unfortunately I don't know how to reproduce it.

What happens is that I will right click on a sketch in the tree list view, and the 'edit' option is unavailable in the context menu. If I click on another sketch, it will highlight that sketch along with the one I was trying to edit. It's acting as though my ctrl key is stuck, however, the On-Screen Keyboard confirms that no keys are stuck. The way I've found to fix it is to edit an older sketch and then finish.

That sounds like a known  problem.
The cause seems to be that a process has not been completed, because the corresponding sketch is highlighted in blue in the timeline.
I move the cursor in the timeline between the end and the beginning, sometimes several times.
