Bug report: Measure Dialog does not display correct precision

So after the latest update, the Measure Dialog does not display the precision chosen from the drop-down.  I was frustrated because I had created a hole with dia. 0.0985" but when I measured it later, it kept giving me 0.099" no matter what precision I had chosen.  If I go into Preferences and change the General Precision to 4 or 5 digits then the measure Dialog displays 4 or 5 digits as chosen.  Seems like the precision in the Measure Dialog does not function at the moment.  Tried this on two different PCs with the same result.

Attached screen shot shows I have chosen 6 digit precision in the Measure Dialog but it is only displaying 4.

I agree this is a bug in the Measure command.  As a work around, go to your Preferences and under Units and Value Display, change the General Precision to what you desire and you will get a better answer.  The Measure Precision entry does not see to be connected to the application at all.   @jeff_strater I hope you can log this to be fixed.  Thank You.

Thanks Jeff,

Also, I noticed that if you check the "Secondary Units" checkbox in the Measure Dialog, then the secondary units in parentheses will display with the correct precision. The primary units are still wrong.  See attached screen grab.

it looks like this bug has been fixed in our internal builds, but we are verifying the fix.  It should be fixed in an upcoming release, though I am not certain of exactly which update.  Thanks for your patience.

@jeff_strater  Have they also fixed the problem for the angle display? That bug has been in Fusion for years!

Thanks Mark

yes!  The angle precision bug has also been fixed.  A small thing, but glad to have it correct again...

Hi again. This week Fusion 360 had a major update to build 2.0.8749. This issue should be fixed in this latest update. Please update Fusion and let me know if you still find the same problem.

Verifying build number:

  • Help > About
  • Look for a number like "2.0.8XXX" in the about box.
  • Current build is 2.0.8749

Updating Fusion 360:

  1. Start or restart Fusion
  2. Look at the Job status icon (the small clock in the top bar)
  3. If an update is downloading a small 1 appears on the clock.
  4. Click to see progress and restart message when it's done.

Hi @Phil.E  Just tested it works correctly again, also notice precision works correctly on angles at long last! 👍

Thanks Mark
