bug report! lineweight mess when printing or exporting as pdf

When exporting pdfs or printing drawings, lineweight do not work properly. From 10 drawings, I have 8 with uniform lineweight even though the lineweights in checked. Problem seems to be the same with print and pdf (maybe prints are converted to pdf before sending to printer?)

One drawing came out right and a other came out with mixed results (lineweight of one outline is mixed line elements of 0,5 and 0,25mm !!!!).

attached is an example of a PDF export.

Opening a exported PDF reveals that objects in the drawing or more or less randomly grouped in sublayers of the PDF - Maybe the reason to the problem?

PS: Can someone from Autodesk confirm that the bug has been reported. This is a repost of a months old bug report that didn't get any response.

Hi @Anonymous ,

This is an issue..!
I have created bug number FDWG-13205 for internal tracking purpose.
Meanwhile, I need a little more help to understand this issue, since this is found not reproducible in-house;
- is it file specific issue?
- can we reproduce it from scratch/how?

Thanks & regards

Hi Amit,

Sorry for the late replay.

I have only noticed it in one file (containing 25 drawing sheets!) but I can try to go trough some of my other drawings to see if I can find the problem other places. I will also see if I can reproduce the problem in a new file using the same part and a new file using a new part.

Best Peter

Hi @Anonymous ,

  • Hopefully, you do not see this issue as persistent/generic.
  • If Yes, Can you please share that specific file for further investigation?
  • We have kept the internal report open for tracking till your further inputs/confirmation.

Thanks & regards
