Bug Report - Fusion will lose recovery backup when rebooting following auto-update

Fusion 360 (Mac) just crashed on me, after restarting it I was greeted with the new version/update welcome banner, but no notification or way for me to access the recovery file, even though I have it setup to autosave every 10min. I've seen Fusion crash before but never without giving me the option to recover after restart.

I just lost hours of work with no way to recover any of it. Not fun.

Hi,

Sorry to hear you lost some work. There are a few activities that block creation of Recovery files, such as having a dialog box open, or a sketch active. Were you using a workflow that included long sessions with dialog boxes, such as Edit Form, or Edit Sketch?

Going forward, I want you to know there is no penalty to saving your work. The save button is the best way to capture your design work. It even helps you make historical versions so you can track your design history in case you want to revert to an earlier phase of your design for any reason.

If that is too much overhead, try the hotkeys that force recovery save:

Ctrl + Shift + S | Command + Shift + S Recovery Save
