Bug: Plastic "Design Advice" tool causes Fusion 360 close

Hi,

I've recently found some odd behaviour when using the Plastic "Design Advice" tool.

/////////////////////
Steps to reproduce:

1) Create a solid body

2) Assign plastic rule to that solid body

3) Open the "Deisgn Advice" tool

4) Select the solid body and the pull direction

5) Select "Analyse"

This should work.

6) Flip the pull direction

7) Select analyse again

Fusion 360 closes.

////////////////////////////

Please let me know if this is just me!

Thanks,

Elliott

EDIT: This is also consistent in the Fusion 360 browser version

Does this happen with any design, or just some?

Do you get a crash report dialog, and send the report?

What OS are you using?

Hi Phil,

This happens regardless of geometry for me. There is no crash report, Fusion closes without presenting the option. I'm happy to export my diagnostic log files tomorrow if that helps!

I'm on Windows 10 Version 21H2.

FYI. I have a try on my win 10 machine and cannot reproduce the crash on it. May be related to the environment.

Thanks,

Steven

Strange. I've tried it on 3 different PCs and the browser version and get the crash every time.

There are only two factors here. Your model files, or your plastic rules. These are the only factors entirely unique to you and might explain why you can repeat this on multiple computers, while we cannot repeat it on any computer. If you can help narrow down the possibilities, i.e. try other plastic rules, try a plain box shape, etc.

The only other possibility is it's a graphics issue. Usually a rapid application close, with no crash dialog, is associated with graphics hardware failure. When you say you tried 3 PCs were these all attached to the same monitor setup or anything in common with them?
