Bug? Fusion 360 Strange round red shadow with Symbol (looks like gun)

Hello there,

today I reinstalled fusion 360 (EDU) after i did a clean Win10 Install. I noticed a strange behavior that i never had before. On Startup Fusion shows a red Shadow as overlay in the lower center of the window. Sometimes there appears a symbol within the circle. The Symbol looks like a gun for me. I am really confused about this.

I would be happy if somebody can tell me how to get rid of this strange behavior.

Greetings from Germany

Hi,

to me it looks more like the visit of an uninvited "guest".
As a precaution, I would scan the system before trying to reinstall after a Clean Uninstall.
Maybe @Phil.E  can say something about.

That is not a bug, nor is it an Autodesk icon or anything to do with Fusion 360. Looks like something from a gaming app or gaming mouse drivers. Do you have a game installed/running or a game controller attached to your computer?

@schneju do you perchance have any gaming/audio drivers that show where sound is coming from, e.g. Nahimic Audio?

Sometimes gaming software picks up Fusion 360 as a game due to its graphics-intensive workflows, and that might be what's happening here.

I think Lance is right. This description sounds exactly like your issue and it's from Asus Sonic Radar:

Thank you all for your super fast answers!

@g-andresenI have checked your suggestion and am glad that my system is not infected.

@Phil.E,@lance.carocci  and @mstrater were right. The "problem" was caused by Asus Sonic Radar. I hadn't noticed that this software was installed during the driver installation.

Thanks again all of you! This thread can be closed now.
