Autosaves :(

Is there a way that I can turn on autosaves? Something that would basically click the save button for me? This thing crashes enough that I've lost a good amount of work over the last few weeks, like 8hrs worth in the drawing space that I can't get back now, nothing in the recovery drop-down, and nothing in the crash recovery folder. The 'save on close' feature is a nice quality of life improvement, but it doesn't really seem to do anything if there's a genuine crash. I always loose my progress. 

The real answer here is I just need to click the save button more often, but I really think that there should be a way to set up autosaves on intervals. Maybe I'm just blind and can't see the option.
