Archiving help

Can you help me please?

Main project fly out -
Right click on the project- gives the option to archive
Right click on a design does not give the opportunity to archive.

It seems you can only archive the top level.
I store my designs in a file structure under projects, so I might have-

ElectronicsProject - enclosures- small- Arduino. And then the design- flip

I have a lot of these designs (components).

if I interpret this correctly each design is an active document.
If this contains say 20 final designs in a hierarchy, to get to the one I want I will have unarchive the whole project which I cannot do as it will produce more than 10 active documents. And there doesn't seem to be a way of viewing what designs are inside what projects.

The only way I can see of doing this is to create a project called electronics containing design and then import each component into that project. And then archive that project if necessary. Is that correct is there a better way?

Thank you reading.
