Arc function bug, crosshairs for selecting points don't follow the mouse pointer

Hi,

I have a student account that I haven't used for a while due to how painful fusion is to use. From corupt DXF files to poor functionality. But I have just downloaded the student version again tonight and straight away I have struck a bug. I would think bugs like this should no longer appear but........

Thanks for the reply. But no it has nothing to do with the grid option.

I can click on different locations but the crosshairs do not follow the mouse pointer all the time. Most of the time in fact.

If i click on the line function i can move the mouse to the start location wherever that may be and the crosshairs follow then i can click to select the start point. In the exact same sketch the arc function does not function the same (sometimes).

Watch the video after I click on the first point of the arc, which does not move at all. The crosshairs for the second point follow the mouse to some areas and not others.

I have sat the mouse pointer in a position for a while in case it is a freezing issue but the crosshairs NEVER move to the position of the mouse.

Maybe the install is corrupt? Or fusion doesn't like my laptop, but sketchup and vectric aspire work perfectly fine so I pretty sure it has to be fusion.

Hi,

1. somehow your picture geometry looks odd.

Take a look at this thread

2. Also a Clean Uninstall could help.

just for something to try, can you disable 3D sketch?

I'm not sure that has anything to do with this problem, but I did notice it was turned on in this sketch.  Might affect things...

Thanks Jeff,

I did uninstall and clean out fusion, and sure enough it is still misbehaving until I uncheck the 3D sketch as you suggested. I never noticed the 3D sketch option, but I did notice that the sketch didn't change the view automatically when I selected the sketch plane., which I though was odd. I will be doing a bit on it in the coming days so hopefully it will consistently behave without the 3D sketch option.

So it appears my first assumption of it being a BUG may be correct.

thanks again

Can anyone tell me if this post will suffice as a bug report or should I be sending it elsewhere.?

This isn't going to help but I've had this problem too since the update and its driving me mad. Every time it happens you have to use the hand option and just move the sketch left or right then, esc hand and the arc crosshair does what its supposed to do. Also noticed some of the sketch lines thin out and fade to the end for a few minutes then reappear. Look , Autodesk needs to get onto this simple stuff and stop blaming peoples hardware. Nothing I have done in Fusion over the past three days has been satisfying enough to warrant me buying the full version.  3 wasted days I can't get back.  Am seriously considering packing it in and going for vetric a go because this is as stated above, painful.
