I live in NW FL. I have used autocad for years for designing custom cabinetry and furniture.

I recently bought a longmill MK2. I drew up my first piece in fusion 360 and managed to save it to a flash drive, but it won't run.

Since longmill wasn't in the list of machines, I chose autodesk generic 3 axis, xy on the table and z on the head.

I am getting error 1 on line 0 and error 11 on line 1.

I didn't see anywhere in post process to choose GRBL.

Did I missing something, or did a make a wrong choice for machine ?

TIA

According to this webpage, your machine should use the GRBL post processor.  You will find the GRBL post processor in the Fusion 360 Library.

Thank you for the point in the right direction.  I went back into post process and hunted around till I found the page you showed.  I found GRBL and re saved. Going out to my shop now to try it. Thanks again

Can I ask another question ?   I got the code saved properly. I successfully ran the perimeter simulation on my machine. Then when I hit run, to test the actual program (no bit in machine) the router immediately goes straight down till it hits the table. It is zeroed all the way up. How do I get to the gcode to start checking it ?  I'm downloading notepad++ which can supposedly open gcode.

Your second question to me has moved out of my knowledge.  I do not own or operate an NC equipment so the manipulation of code is out of my realm.  I would suggest you post a NEW question on the Fusion 360 Manufacturing Forum where the true machinist hang out.  You will find it here.
