Another cursor bug, sorta like the old bug

I had accepted the fix for a cursor bug in this thread:

https://forums.autodesk.com/t5/fusion-360-support/cursor-bug-in-newest-version/td-p/12009503

Thought it was all good, but just found another more limited version of the same bug. So, am opening a new thread on it. Again, this is on Windows 10, latest OS updates, latest drivers, latest Fusion, all that. It started with the most recent version of Fusion, never saw it before that update.

To make it happen reliably, if I do an extrude from a sketch or an existing surface, enter a number in the distance box that pops up, and then go over to the Extrude popup window and change from 'Join' to 'New Body', they cursor while inside the popup window changes to the 'resize window' icon, and stays there as long as the cursor is inside the Extrude window. Move outside that window, and it goes to normal, move back into the extrude window, its the resize icon again. In previous bug report it was the wrong icon in lots of places within Fusion, now its just within the one popup window.  Very repeatable here.

Found another place where it happens too - select a surface on a body, move over to the browser display on the left, and when the cursor goes over a body name in the list it changes to the resize icon.

And to reiterate, this is within minutes of doing the Fusion Utility 'Repair' option suggested as the fix from the other bug.

I can replicate this but it really does not matter as the cursor still will select anything in the dialog box you need.  Once you select an entry box you need, the icon goes away.  It will come back but again, it does not interfere with you work, purely cosmetic!

I cannot replicate this observation.  The question is, does it hold you up from your work, can you still select what you need in the Browser?

Its very disconcerting - seeing the wrong cursor makes me stop and check what its doing, its slowing me down a lot. The more I work, the more places its showing up, the ones I described are the easy way to make it happen.

This just started on the latest release - nothing else on the system has been updated in that timeframe, and no other apps are showing any issues.

Tried an experiment - thinking it might be something to do with the driver selected within Fusion, I went to preferences, and tried it with all the options for Graphics Driver: AutoSelect, Direct X 11, Direct X 9, Open GL, restarting the app each time, and the bug never changed, there each way.

As I mentioned before, if it is not holding you up from work, ignore it.  You have reported the issue, it has been confirmed and Autodesk reads the posts on the Support Forum.

I dont understand how you say 'it has been confirmed'. What does that mean? Is there something to show Autodesk has seen it?

I wrote you that the cursor did the same for me on the Extrude dialog, it that not confirmation?  Autodesk routinely reads the Support Forum posts and I will tag this Forum post to the Fusion 360 administrator.

@jeff_strater , what do you see as far as the cursor issue described in this post?

It’s annoying

was all over my Browser, when selecting eyeballs, Browser entries,

(right clicking joint articles to chase a tricky movement)

but in Dialogue boxes, not there long enough.

as said, did not change functionality, weird at first, doesn’t take long to be ignoring it.

Might help.....
