Animation Transform set pivot broaken?

EDIT:  "problem" solved

You have to "unselect" Set Pivot, after setting it. (or click OK in the small popup dialog box)

This is confusing! Without using Set Pivot, you just select the rotation axis, and rotate, but with Set Pivot you have an additional OK to click. Why?

Hi,

Im having trouble animating the rotation of an object. (Component!)

When I select Set Pivot during Transform Components, nothing is happening after clicking OK.

Without Set Pivot, the object gets rotated, and everything works as should.

Out of desperation, thinking that there is something wrong with my design (object grounded, joints) preventing the rotation, I have tried the same thing on the example Lamp from the Design Samples, and still had the same issue.

Totally desperate, I created a new empty design, and created the simplest possible object: a cube (sketch->rectangle->extrude) switched to animation, moved the timeline forward (3sec or whatever), then right click on component -> transform -> set pivot -> rotate it -> click ok.   AND NOTHING HAPPENS!

nothing in the timeline is shown.

Normally while rotating the component, the component is being rotated in "real time", but after selecting set pivot, only the"wheel" rotates, but not the component.

Is it me, or is this function broken?

Hi @kukajol

Thanks for posting! I'm glad that you were able to get to the bottom of the "Set pivot" problems you experienced.

The extra click is required because you may want to offset a pivot point location after clicking a model point. We do see some confusion on this, but I think that it is important to be able to perform fine edits on the pivot location after selecting a point.

We appreciate you sharing your experience on the forum!
