I installed Fusion 360 on a laptop to take to a clients for demo.

After install, I was pre-loading my documents but some of them are getting "An unexpected error occurred when downloading document." (That's what the "Detail" says) They open fine on my desktop, but won't download to the laptop. SOME do, but some don't!

Hi,

Can you please try again, and if you get a few failures, can you gather your diagnostic log files for me? The help menu has a tool for gathering the logs, under Support and Diagnostics.

Yup. Still an issue. Some files load others don't cleared the cache and tried again. It seems I can't attach .zip files here to attach my diagnostic file though.

This error can happen when someone shuts down Fusion while it's uploading saved files. Or more commonly when they shut their laptop after pressing save, but before it's done saving. You mentioned using a desktop machine. Is it possible some of the designs you can't open on the laptop were recently open on the desktop?

Can you try this: Open your desktop machine you mentioned in the original post. Open Fusion and let it sit for a while, give it 10 minutes. Close Fusion. If Fusion is busy uploading design data, it will tell you in a pop up dialog box. If you don't see that dialog, try again with the laptop.
