Alternate Unite Automatically Display on Drawing

I spend a lot of time individually checking the "Alternate Units" box every time I create a dimension in a drawing. Is there a way for the alternate/second unit to automatically populate every time I create a new dimension?

For an existing drawing you can toggle all dimension.

Click Change document setting, expand Units on the dialog then check Alternative.

For new designs you can create a template and preset to display alternative units as your default.
