All of my files are gone!

Hello,

 

Please help me! all of my files have disappeared and I last saw them last week. Years of work.

Ive spent a few hours trying to figure out what has happened.

I did move emails a few months ago but havent had any problems until now. The only other email I have used fusion says isnt a known email.

 

I cant see them in fusion.

I can no longer see them under my the autodesk online drive.

I can save new files and they stay when reloading the program and are on the online drive.

 

If anyone has any advice please advise!

did you check both personal and team folder?

Thanks for posting.

Make sure the correct email address associated with the desired account is being used to log into Fusion 360. Manually verify how many accounts have logged into Fusion 360 by looking at the following directories:

  • Windows (see video C:\Users\%USERNAME%\AppData\Local\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360
  • Mac (see video Mac HD\Users\<PROFILE>\Library\Application Support\Autodesk\Autodesk Fusion 360

Every Autodesk Account that has logged into Fusion 360 is associated with a unique directory that has an alphanumeric name (WFYKNG73WZSU, for example). If there are multiple folder names within the Fusion 360 directory, multiple email addresses have been signed into Fusion 360 on that computer. 
Can you provide how many alphanumeric names you can see in Autodesk Fusion 360 folder as per the above instruction?

Hi Robert!

Thank you so much for your help! Using this method I was able to see that there were two accounts open on my account!
I feel quite silly now as I am not sure how or why there is a second account open using another different email! I dont even remember making an account with that email address. (note this is a seperate email to the one I migrated my account from)

All of my old files are there thankfully.

Thank you very much for all of your help! If I may suggest, please, please, please make this information easy to access when searching "my files are gone". Maybe make it an option on the FAQ or something as I would have never had guessed to look in the %appdata% for other files.
hopefully this post can help in that effort.
If you could, please detail any further steps one would take to fix this problem for those who come after me.
