All my projects disappeared.

Running Fusion 360 (newest, I think, free version) on macOS Big Sur.   Last night suffered a crash apparently caused by an installation of a Symantec antivirus component (which I have repeated, so I know that is the problem).  Restored from Time Machine to just before the bad installation.  All is well, except all my Fusion 360 files (except a few previously shared with others) have disappeared.  Would love to be able to restore them.  Please help.

Go the Fusion 360 web database, log in using your Autodesk ID and see if your projects appear there?  Make sure you are using the same Autodesk ID the projects were created with.

Jack, you are right.  All my files are in there (somewhere) sitting in a place "Admin Project" apparently.  However, "Admin Project" is not one of the choices when I log onto the Fusion 360 program itself.  As I recall, they formerly showed up in "My Recent Files", which is now empty..

It's a great relief to know the files actually still exist.  There must be a way to get them showing back up in Fusion 360 itself, (probably an easy way) but It is not clear to me how that is done.  Greatly appreciate your help so far, and would also appreciate a suggestion for getting them reloaded into the running program directory.  Thanks... Gene

If you files are on the A360 site, then you should be able to see them from Fusion 360.  First, make sure you are logged into Fusion 360 using the exact same log in you used to see you files on A360.  I would log out and then log in to make sure.  Then go to your Data Panel and use the drop down to see all your Teams and/or Personal Storage.  You may have more than one.

After selecting your team,  look at the list of all your Projects.

Repeat for all Teams and/or Personal Storage.  If you do not see your files then you have a mix up on your Autodesk ID.

Dear Jack:  This morning--wonder of wonders--the "Admin Project" button, when pressed, listed all my projects, just as I was accustomed to in the past.  Why it would not do that for the past couple of days is a mystery to me.  So, I am back to normal, not having done anything (that I am aware of) to fix it.  But now, if it happens again, I know how to access the files outside of Fusion 360--thanks to you!  So, I am set.

Thank you so much for your kind attention to this frustrating problem that I experienced.

Is it too late to ask this again?

All of my projects disappeared as well.  When I went to the web database they were there.  Then I tried to log on to 360 with the same user id it said I had no account.

I really have a hard time believing this is happening.  The Autodesk ID and associated password is the access to both the Fusion 360 Web Database and the Fusion 360 Application.  I have only one suggestion, do the process in reverse.  Follow the Screencast and see what happens.

Couldn't find the "accept solution" icon.

That worked with some additional steps. When I tried to open the file, I was required to log in. This time with email instead of user id. Then had to enter a number from a text on my cell phone. After logging in with no other problems, my files were all there again.
The incident that started the problem was my addition to a friend's Fusion team to review and (we thought) edit files. Turns out he has an educational license and I have a hobbiest license so I was limited to basic access. (we are both retired senior citizens)
If you folks would like any more info or help resolving the issue, I am at your service.
Thanks again for the timely help and solution.
