I am trying to align a coil around a cylinder. It was easy when I was using the centre point of the page, but when the cyclinder is not in the centre, how do I wrap the coil around it

use a sketch, and project the cylinder onto that sketch.

Topic is interesting' when I tried to follow the solution I decided to give up.

Solution was answered with "very fast mouse movements", so fast I had too much trouble trying to follow the mouse around to see what was going on.  Suggest slower movements for "beginners" to follow would be great. Note: I am very thankful that folks are there answering in the 1st place, so this is only said as a constructive comment for slower persons - like me.

Thanks1

Understood, and thanks for the feedback.  Recording videos is always a bit of a tricky things.  If the video is too long, some people get bored.  And, I never know when doing that what the target audience is.  If I record everything for beginners, then advanced users get frustrated.  But, I know that I do tend to err on the side of going too fast.  And, I tend to not add voice over, when I should, because I am often recording those during meetings (which is bad, I know...).  I will try to do better in the future.

In the meantime, there is a speed control in Screencast, and I, myself, sometimes have to set the speed to 0.5 to clearly see what is going on.  Not a good solution, but can help in a pinch.
