After cutting one object from another, they still appear to hold a relation

I have a rectangle with a smaller cylinder going through it, both are bodies I want to keep.  I cut the cylinder out of the rectangle and how have a cylinder shaped hole in the rectangle, but when I go to PressPull the cylinder in the rectangle (because I want it to be slightly larger than the original cylinder) it seems to be linked to the cylinder and changes the cylinder size as well.  I only want the rectangle to change though.  How do I unlink them?

Edit: I tried with a straight rectangle and cylinder and it worked.  In actuality it's an imported object being subtracted from a parametric object with design history turned on.  Once I've subtracted, if I try to PressPull the wall of the empty space, it acts weird.  f3d attached

a little hard to tell without more info, but one thing to try:  Don't use Press/Pull, instead use Offset Face.  Press/Pull is kind of a "meta" command, and can do a bunch of different things, including, likely in this case, editing a sketch that drives the initial cylinder.

I created a Screencast to illustrate what @jeff_strater is saying.  Please attach your model to your post next time.

I updated some details on the original post. Also, the offset face bit worked exactly how I needed 😄
