ADVICE: can I open and edit CATIA files on Fusion 360?

Hi there,

I'm looking for a software which allows me to open and edit CATIA v5 files. Is Fusion 360 a possible solution?

I've already watched some features on AutoCAD but Fusion 360 seems more similar to CATIA. Am I wrong?

Thank you and best regards,

Silvia

I assume you would need paid license rather than free license of Fusion, but here are the file types that you can open...

Edit:  I see that you used keywords mold and mold construction.  Autodesk Inventor Professional might be a better choice if that is your area of interest as it has a full set of mature mold design tools.

Hello,

Please have a look at this page that explains the file extensions Fusion supports and what type of license required for it. Let me know if its helped.

The tags you added to your post indicate that you wan to create molds form the CATIA data.

Can you elaborate  some on what kind of molds and what kind of Geometry and maybe provide a screenshot ?
