About that XYZ Cube in the Viewport

I've been using F360 for a while now but if there's something I absolutely cannot wrap my head around then it's the labeling of the XYZ Cube in the top right-hand corner of the Viewport 😑

I really can't come up with any consistent logic how the Labeling ( Front / Back / Left / Right / Top / Bottom ) is supposed to be interpreted because every Label except for Left / Right can be properly setup like in the above example where I'm looking at the Right / Top / Rear of an RC Tank Turret with the Viewport Cube only matching the Top / Rear while displaying the wrong Left? 🤨

The only way I can imagine this to work is if Front / Back / Top / Bottom are meant to be the viewed from the Models perspective whereas Left / Right are meant to be viewed from the Viewers perspective? 🤪

Is there a way to fix or toggle this somehow? 🤔

This is a CAD convention.  Those labels represent what common drawing view conventions are. (top view, front view, right view, etc).  They are not from the point of view of the model itself (that is, if the model is a car, they would not correspond to directions from the point of view of the driver).  They cannot be "fixed".

Soo... It literally makes no sense then? It is neither from a "drivers" viewpoint nor from an "onlooker"?
Someone at some point screwed up and everyone keeps running with it ever since because? Really? 🤨

It makes perfect sense to me and has never gotten in the way of me creating anything.
