3D operations produce toolpath with offset to the machining surface

Hi

I am using contour and morphed spiral strategy to get a tool path for a conical shape. The tool path generated has a gap with the surface to be machine. I want the tool path to be on the intended machining surface.

Thank you. 1.jpg

This is a correct toolpath, the toolpath is calculated from the tool tip center. Running this through Simulation, we get this:

The tool I am using is not supposed to remove material. It would be better if I say that I need the co-ordinates of the toolpath on the exact geometry. Can it be done ?

Please explain what you mean, and what are you trying to accomplish.

Fusion generates a toolpath on the tangent contact edge of the tool. The larger the tool, the further away the plotted toolpath is going to be from the model surface. The smaller the tool, the closer it will be. But, it will never be ON the surface
