.123dx import: materials, grouping infromation lost

When importing an Autodesk 123D file, i.e., a .123dx file, the material properties of objects as well as selection grouping information is lost.

This is a real showstopper for me, as I have a model with around 1,500 objects, all with material assigned, and with extensive grouping.
(it is for steering and reefing sails in a historical remote-control ship my son and I are building.)

Is there a method to import this information as well?
Thanks for your help.

Hey Roman.Benesch,

Unfortunately there is no way to import or export objects with materials assigned in F360, and there are no plans to add this functionality at this time. The reason we're not pursuing this at the moment is that we have to prioritize development for the benefit of the most users, and from that point of view there are many other features and fixes that need to be implemented first.

Thanks for the swift response. I assume the same is the case regarding selection group information?
