1/2" 8TPI UNC Thread

Anonymous
Not applicable

Hi

Trying to make a Threaded knob for a wooden clock to match a threaded spacer cut using a hand tap.

Does Fusion have a 1/2" 8TPI thread in its data base?

Might have posted this question in wrong place, first time I asked for help!

Hello @Anonymous ,

Are you looking for a threaded bolt/nut? You can get that using Insert-->Insert McMaster-Carr components--> search for the required component you need.

Let me know if this helps. Hit like button and Accept solution if this answers your query.

Thanks!

As @mohammed.aliTDPXK said, you can go to McMaster-Carr insert command and pick up a piece of 1/2-8 threaded rod and then use it to create your tapped component by using the Combine command.  I believe that 1/2-8 thread is not a classification of of UNC thread, it is a ACME lead screw form.  Mode is attached with a section of 1/2-8 threaded rod and a block tapped using it, just make the threaded rod invisible.
