Zooming inverts when holding the ctrl key

I had an interesting behavior start after this last update. When working in either a single part file or an assembly file, zooming in and out with the scroll wheel inverts when holding the ctrl key. As in to say, when I don't hold any key, scrolling "up" zooms out and scrolling "down" zooms in, this then flips "up for in" and "down for out" when I hold the ctrl key. I tend to use the Solidworks zoom and pan control scheme, which means I hold the ctrl key to pan, but not to pivot. The same behavior holds true when I switched between any of the control schemes in my preferences. Is there a check mark I'm missing or something in my preferences to stop this, I can't imagine this has always been the default behavior and I've just turned picky enough this morning to notice.

Is there any issue, any suggestion in general besides for mentioning this.

If there's something you want implemented, you can go to the idea station

Or fill in the F360, suggestions or whatnot form wherever it's disapeared to in this new forum layout...

... Oh, I suppose I didn't specifically form the question or complaint, sorry. I'm mentioning this because I don't think this was the behavior before hand, and I couldn't find how to change the behavior back to where it wouldn't invert when holding ctrl. How would I go about changing the behavior so the zooming doesn't invert? I don't want it to invert.

I do not see the "inversion" you are describing.  If I hold down the Ctrl key when I use the Middle Mouse Button zoom, all I get is a reversal of the zoom direction with the same wheel motion.  It is the same effect as if I changed this setting.  Try toggling this check box and see if it helps correct your issue.  Remember to pick Apply before you pick OK when changing Preference settings.

While checking that box stops it from inverting the zoom when holding ctrl, it does invert the zoom 100% of the time. For those who have been using a certain set of controls for a long time, it is not ideal.

Are you using the app or Fusion-online?

*As this is sounding like when you zoom in Fusion online, not Fusion the app

Yes, this is a problem which has arisen since the last update, it's a real PITA and needs fixing.

If you want to select multiple objects on a sketch or whatever, the zoom direction reverses when you hold the ctrl key.

Win 10, paid app version.

Honestly, I don't mind which direction I have to scroll to zoom, I just don't want it to change while I am trying to zoom and pan around. Wouldn't be a problem if my workplace gave me a space mouse, lol.

I use the Fusion app, not the online version in a web browser.

Yes Fusion app.

I checked the "reverse zoom direction" box thinking it would be nice to have zoom not invert at the expense of it being different. I ended up unchecking that because I found it more annoying.

un-check gesture-based navigation.

Either this or checking reverse zoom direction seems to fix the problem. Thank you.

The solution to a problem is not changing something that should be entirely unrelated. Gesture-based navigation is actually kind of nice to have sometimes. This whole thread should not be marked as having an accepted solution. Any combination of those check boxes should work without there being any glitches in how zoom behaves.

Agreed. They broke it, can't fix it, and the workaround is to turn something else off.

This is typical Fusion development. I'm surprised they haven't called it an 'exciting new feature'.
