Wrong SAT format...

Hello,

While exporting a design in SAT, I have this error :

<<
Error: Invalid SAT version: Autodesk Translation Services failed because you tried to export file with SAT extension in wrong format! Change sat version to SAT7 format or file extenstion to SMT
>>

I do not have any idea of how to change to SAT7, nor why this occurs only on one file (the other designs export well in SAT as other formats too)...

Hoping this helps,
Guy

Depends on the application you are exporting the model from.  Look for "Options" when you are exporting the file.  All of Autodesk Products will not accept any SAT file above 7.0 format.  When you download a file from the internet you will often be offered to choose the SAT format.  If you continue to have difficultly determining the version switch to a STEP format.

@CapGuy - you sure this is on export that you are seeing this error message?  The error is correct, Fusion only supports SAT7 and SMT (Fusion's proprietary format).  But, there should be no UI to specify any other SAT format than those two.  Now, import is much more likely to see this error, if you export SAT from some other system, it is unlikely to be in SAT7 format.

Can you record a screencast of your export experience so we can see what is going on?  Thanks.

Hello,

After a re-opening of Fusion 360 and the previous file and an export in SAT, this error does not occur anymore... So I cannot send you a screencast of this error of course, as the problem seems to be disappeared.

Best Regards,
Guy
