Why cant I extrude multiple faces?

Possibly I am going about this the wrong way so Im open to suggestions if there is a better workflow. Im trying to make a piece that will be able to slide into a slot on another piece. I thought extruding the edges with a cut operation would work but I cannot seem to select all edges at once.

@joeynova - I think we'll need some more information to help you.  Share the model, and a screencast showing what you are trying to do with it, if you can.

A couple of comments:  First, this is not Extrude. Extrude can only operate on planar faces or sketch profiles.  You are using Press/Pull.  Second, Press/Pull is not, itself, really a command - it is just kind of a meta-command that invokes other commands.  In this case, the command you are really using (because you have selected a face, is Offset Faces).  Personally, I am not a big fan of Press/Pull, so I tend to go directly to the commands themselves.  What you have revealed is that Offset Faces as sub-invoked by Press/Pull, default to "Automatic" as the Offset Type.  In this mode, you can only drag one face at a time.  What Automatic Offset is trying to do is to perform upstream edits to get its effect (in this case by dragging the sketch line that produced this face).  If you change the Offset Type to "New Offset", or if you just skip Press/Pull and invoke Offset Faces directly (which does not support Automatic), you can select multiple faces, then drag them all together.  Here is a screencast showing a similar model working with Offset Faces:
