How many more years and thousands worth of subscription fees are required for this to be fixed?

@leoSXTXC Does this happen in the middle of a session? Also, when you say shut down, you have to close and reopen Fusion for this to be addressed?

This happens in the middle of the session. Not only for me but for all members of our team.

Has been happening for years. Seemingly randomly.

There is no way to get the Data Panel back. You can hide/show it but the contents is gone.

You need to shut down Fusion and then go through the pain of opening it again.

@leoSXTXC The image shows that this is on a Mac? If you go into preferences - graphics drivers - what is it set to? IF you can set it to OPEN Gl and then restart Fusion and use it in this preference setting , can you let us know if you see this issue again?

There is no OpenGL anywhere mentioned in MacOS anymore.

@leoSXTXC Understood. We expose this option within Fusion. We will be updating all of this in future versions but until then can you try this preference option within Fusion?

Hi @leoSXTXC, can you please provide few details that will help in figuring out this issue:

1. Can you please follow following steps once you get this error:
  • Once we get this error, on fusion text command window, type: DataPanel.url, press enter. To open text command window, go to New File (file icon) -> View -> Show Text Commands
  • This should print a location path. Copy the location printed (omitting file:/// ahead of the path and /data_view_rel.html at the end), please provide a list of file name and folders present in the path (snapshot will be fine).

2. Also once this issue happens, please share your diagnostic logs from: Help (? icon) -> Support and Diagnostics -> Diagnostic Log files

Thanks,

Anurag N.

Is Autodesk going to fix this or not? This is becoming ridiculous.

Is this a primary school software project or a commercial product thousands of people are paying thousands of dollars for?

When will this be finally fixed?

So far Fusion 360 is the worst software product I have ever used.
