When using Edit Form and Selecting a Face. Active Face turns Blue , How do I unselect Yellow Faces?

In the image below I select a Face. It turns Blue as it should. However other faces on the cylinder turn yellow and the corresponding action I place on the Blue face acts on the Yellow faces. How do I just act on the face I selected?

I have used the selection filter to just access the one face.

I am trying to bend, extrude and manipulate ONLY the Blue face. What am I doing wrong? How do I unselect the Yellow Faces?

Is there something about Symmetry that I can turn off so I can act only on one face?

@ckelloggYZNLM - that is because you are using symmetry in this Form body.  The blue face is the one you selected, the yellow faces are not directly "selected", but, because of the symmetry, they will be affected by any operation you perform on the selected face.  The only way to have those faces be unaffected is to turn off symmetry in this body.

Jeff,

Thankyou so much for your reply. When you say, "Turn Off"... I dont see that option. Under Symmetry I see Clear Symmetry and Isolate Symmetry.

Yes, sorry, my explanation was not very precise.  Yes, by "turn off", I mean Clear Symmetry.  Just be aware that this operation does exactly what it says it will do:  Clear symmetry,  So, if you make changes to some faces, those changes will not be propagated to the symmetric faces.
