When threaded (male) cylinder width extends beyond the receiving female threaded cylinder

I have a conical piece ( Width: 82mm to 85mm /Length : 30 mm/ Thickness : 4mm) that extends into a 85mm cylinder for 10 mm length. I internally threaded the 10mm cylinder length to M85X4 6H x 10. Every time I perform this action the conical ID taper is converted to a 82mm Cylinder until it  seems to reduce the ID to 80 mm at the threaded opening . I don't want as this to happen a this is supposed to surround a conical component and the threaded opening is to small to accept the male threaded cylinder which is also threaded to M85X4 .

What step am i missing?

I am not exactly sure why this happens, but you can avoid it by Split Body before Thread and Combine afterwards.
