When opening laptop after it goes to sleep the shift key no longer rotates around object

After my laptop goes to sleep fusion stops allowing me to rotate around an object with the shift key, it also stop properly functioning with zoom, it is very stilted and not smooth.

Restarting fusion solves this but it is a pain to restart fusion and close my work every time I leave the laptop for longer than 30 mins.

Changing the pan/zoom/oribt setting doesn't solve it either.
