What points do I need to know to have sizes change together?

Hi again, Today I have my drawer project that I have completed, for the most part. This drawer is the same size, in tow dimensions, and another cabinet I have with a missing drawer. I wish to lengthen a copy of my current design for the second cabinet.

When I added an inch to my base (floor) sketch the floor of the drawer expanded as expected and the end flanges moved out as well. The side flanges, however, did not move, and left a .5" gap at each end of the drawer.

By "points" in my title, I mean I need to know what I could/should have done, and/or need to watch for, to make the side flanges expand with the changed dimension of the floor sketch. Note, that one side has a sketch on it for the tab spot weld holes (TabSpotWeldSketch).

Thanks,

Chris

Your SidewallFlange, the second flange from the left, in your timeline is not related to the length of the floor.  I added a parametric relationship between them and explained what I did in the video.  You can change the length of the drawer to any value you desire and it will update.  I am supplying your model back with a 1 inch increase in length.

By the way, the Forum you are posting to is reserved for application issues, it is not for general design questions.  Please post your design questions to the Fusion Design, Validate and Document Forum.

Thanks for the parameter class!! I have been wondering about naming my dimensions since I see them pop up in some places, like the flange dialog, and I am not sure what they refer to because they are named "d29", or whatever. That's something that would be a nice improvement, if the dimension names more more convenient to rename. Is there any other trick for that?

Sorry about the wrong forum, the other one seemed to refer to features I have no idea about. I was thinking material lists and other advanced features in F360.

Thanks,

Chris

This feature already exist.  You can name dimensions (parameters) on the fly as shown in the video.
