What is this "Trial ends in XX days" message

I started using F360 two years ago or so.

The deal then was hobbyist and educators were provided the software free of charge.

I have been singing the praises of Fusion 360 all this time.

As a hobbyist I can't really afford a $310.00 a year toy.

Am I to understand we have an example of bait and switch here?

If this is the case, I would have simply used other software and saved myself years of learning Fusion 360.

You have a wonderful program here, I have enjoyed what it has to offer.

Please let me know if things have changed or what is going on so I can plan accordingly.

Thank you.

Hi @Anonymous,

I'm sorry to hear you're seeing a false "term expired" banner! Have you already gone through the steps in this help article?

Hello,

I can login to my account just fine.

Everything still works (for the moment).

Under "All Products and Services" in my Autodesk-Account Fusion 360 shows "free".

I just have a "Term ends in 25 days" message in the upper left corner, and a "SUBSCRIBE NOW" next to the job status indicator.

Not sure what triggered this, it just showed up the other day.

Thanks

Hi @Anonymous,

Did you sign up for/renew the hobbyist program about a year ago? This message is just saying that the 1 year term is coming to an end, and you have to renew again. If you click Term Has Expired are you able to sign back up as a hobbyist? You may have to click the Subscribe button and sign back up as a hobbyist. It has been a while since I have tried this workflow, but you should be able to keep signing up as a hobbyist.

Thanks,

Hi James,

I'm trying to recall what options I had when I renewed last year, the truth is I just can't remember.

It says "Term ends in 25 days" so it won't let me do anything but click "Subscribe Now" and then a "Buy Now" button.

Not sure how to proceed.

Thanks
