its been a year since i've used this software, and i remember the threading tool being competent to use.  it was all depth, n screws per inch...now its just changing the thickness of my object, and won't even make a threading on a surface... to make matters worse, i'm banned or something from the actual area of where i am supposed to post this question.  you just make this software worse and worse, and less comprehensive.  its a joke to use

Are you talking about Lathe threading or 2D Toolpath > Threading?

Can you share your file here?

File > Export > Save to local folder, return to thread and attach the .f3d file in your reply

i had no trouble using the thread tool last year.  however, now it'll just change the thickness of a wall, or change thread numbers and i have no idea what the software is doing. has a mind of its own, but its very frustrating to me.... i recorded a video of it to try to explain it, cause i get no where conveying my issue in words alone.. but i'm not an MIT trained engineer... just a regular guy that can invent n make stuff, given a proper tool.  i'm thinking maybe i should just design it in a 10X scale, so i don't have to worry about any little oddities in my design process, or about what i'm doing wrong... https://youtu.be/R8cdHfp9yqw   this is a video of what i'm referring to.  with the problems with the threading tool.

THE SOFTWARE HAS FORCED ME TO CHANGED THE DIAMETER OF MY INITIAL OBJECT... which isn't what a design software should be.. it shouldn't be controlling what i can or can't make.  3mm is a huge different for a watch.  n that is too large vs too small.  specifically since i'm working on a sherline lathe, vs what size of watch is too heavy or bulky

then i have to reverse that threading to making a cap for the bottom, of which is just as impossible to fit.  last year i made all sorts of threaded inserts that worked fine

this software is useless.  its got too many limitations.  i'm trying to make unique things, 1 off watches for my invented escapements n movements... but its just making me alter too much, then it won't even let me make an threaded insert to that same female thread... its ridiculous. this software was great last year.  now its just a joke.
