WHAT DID YOU D IN THIS LATEST UPDATE????????????????

I've been working on a project for several weeks averything was going perfectly.  Then yesterday I updated fusion and now my project is really screwed.  If I want to edit one of my components, i can only do sow if I select "Edit in place" and then none od my components are editable.

Is there any info out there that might talk about this update that might help me understand what went wrong?  Unfortune for me,  I have an agreement with my client not to share my work so I'm caught between a rock and a hard place.

Hi,

Edit in place indicates that these are linked components, which can be recognised by the chain symbol.
Remove the link temporarily (right-click > Break link) and check whether the component can then be edited.

As @g-andresen @called when you do edit in place you are editing that specific “design” that you inserted into your parent assembly. When you use edit in place the child component is active and you cannot edit anything that belongs to the parent assembly. You will have to finish edit in place to get back to the parent assembly.

the only I can think is that either that got set when it updated yesterday or I accidentally hit something. Either way your suggestion worked.  Thank you very much

If linked components are in the design, they can only be moved there from the data panel using drag & drop or by right-clicking on "Insert into current design".

I feel the need to mention that this hasn't been any different since the introduction of linked components in Fusion many years back.

I gave the hint because I could not imagine that such an action could have been triggered by mistake.
