WebGL context lost - generative design

Hey,
Unfortunately, it is not possible for me to view my results, which were created with generative design. I get the error message: "WebGL context lost. Unable to recover from software mode..." I have an AMD Ryzen 7 8845HS processor and an integrated AMD Radeon 780M graphics card. The graphics card is not listed with the certified graphics cards in Fusion 360. Is that the problem? What can I do now?
Greetings and Thanks for your Help!

@s15jbeis

Hello & Welcome!

I found this document related to this error and BIM 360, but a Google search would suggest that the problem is the same in nearly every instance.  Take a look at this, and see if any of it helps.  Good luck!

Hi @s15jbeis,

If the solution above doesn't fix the issue, and you have a commercial or student account, the online version of Fusion can be used to view the outcomes in the Explore workspace: https://fusion.online.autodesk.com/

Thank you very much @CGBenner for your help.

I followed the steps in the document. Unfortunately, that didn't solve my problem. Thank you very much anyway

Hi @s15jbeis,

Could you try setting an environment variable QT_OpenGL = angle

This article has the detailed steps: Results of Simulation and Generative Design studies do not display in Fusion 360

Best regards,

Hey, thank you very much for your help. I haven't found this solution myself before. Unfortunately, this method couldn't solve my problem either.

Hello, what kind of Fusion license do you have? (Commercial, Student, Hobbyist)
